Taala is derived from Sanskrit word ताल which translates to rhythm. This application is designed to assist Carnatic musicians by providing a reference for different tAlams when a real tAlam partner is unavailable during performances or practice sessions.

On the main screen, users can select from the seven tAlams, accompanied by a looping visual representation of the chosen tAlam, offering options in Jaathi (3, 4, 5, 7, 9). The seven available tAlams are Dhruva, Matya, Rupaka, Jhampa, Triputa, Ata, and Eka, which can be played in any of the five JAthis: Tishram (3), Chatushram (4), Khandam (5), Mishram (7), and Sankeernam (9). Notably, the tap-tap-turn rupaka variant is available in chatushram.

Users have the flexibility to adjust the speed by simply tapping the directional arrows next to the play button. For those looking to play the popular "Aadi" Taalam, it can be easily accessed by selecting "Triputa" taalam and choosing "4" as the count selection.

We trust that this application will serve as a valuable tool in your musical endeavors. All videos featured within the app are original and Copyrighted by softwarebyvr.
